Bill of quantities (BoQ) software

BoQ software that builds a structured bill of quantities straight from your estimate, ready to price, compare and issue as a branded PDF.

A bill of quantities turns a set of drawings into a structured, priceable list of the measured work — every item with a description, a unit and a quantity. BoQ software removes the drudgery and the errors: instead of re-typing quantities into a spreadsheet and hoping the units line up, you build the bill from your estimate so measured quantities and rates stay linked.

The discipline that makes a BoQ useful is keeping quantity and rate separate. When the design changes you re-measure the quantity without rebuilding the whole price, and when several contractors price the same bill, differences show up line by line rather than hiding in a single lump sum. Consistent units — cubic metres for excavation, square metres for blockwork, linear metres for kerbs and drainage — are what let you apply a rate cleanly and check a total at a glance.

In ConstructQS the BoQ is generated from your project estimate, organised by section, and exported as a clean branded document you can issue to a client or send to subcontractors for pricing. Because it is linked to the estimate, it stays consistent as the job develops.
